Live radio airplay

Posted: 04/04/08 00:26:44 | Member: (liddybean) | Tag: Radio airplay

Last month,I took the band, upon invitation from Xan Phillips, into the studios of Original 106 fm based in Southampton and recorded an interview and a couple of tracks. It is going to be broadcast on the Xan Phillips show on Sunday 6th April at 7.20pm (BST which is GMT +1).
As the studio is not setup to accomodate a full band, Martin used his congo's instead of his drum kit, Dave was using his acoustic guitar, and Mike was using his acoustic bass. I played the flute on 'What Have I Done'. The result is really good and we were all quite buzzed from the evening's effort (even if we did have to carry our gear up four floors as the lift wasn't working).

If you aren't local to Southampton then no need to worry, Original106 broadcast out on the world wide web. www.original106.com and look for the southampton station as Original have one or two stations throughout the UK

If you're not interested either way then no worries but if you want to listen then make sure you tune in. If you miss it, I've been reliably told that Original will be making sure its on a podcast which should be available very near after the 6th on their website.I should get a copy in the post and will load it up on this site very soon.

FRAPJAC music

Posted: 07/24/07 06:42:17 | Member: (liddybean) | Tag: Genres

When asked which genre of music I write, I get stumped as I write in many, ie Folk,Rock,Acoustic,Pop,Jazz And Country. Put them together and you get FRAPJAC, so I am a FRAPJAC artist. Good job I dont just write Country,Rock And Pop,( others may dissagree )
Anyone else write in multi genres ie-

'ARMPIT' performers? (Acoustic,Rock,Musical,Pop,Indie)

'POFACED' composers?
(Pop,Orchestral,Folk,Acoustic,Country,Electronic,Dance}

'DABHAND' writers?
(Drum And Bass,Hiphop,Acoustic,Newage Pop)

'EARWIG' entertainers?
(Electronic,Acoustic,Rock,World,Indie,Grunge)
Maybe your a pofaced,dabhand,earwigging armpit, if so fair play !!
Any more suggestions?
