we are two guys who got together after working on songs in studio and decided to make it a real musical duo. both phil and myself have been active in playing for over 20 years in rock as well as country bands. al fronted the metal band neon black for over 10 years. phil has been playing bass as a set in and permanent fixture for most every successful country and rock band in our area. songs are a mixture of folk rock and alternative rock rythym and bass lines with catchy hooks and message driven lyrics. in nov 06 al decided to go it alone after phil caught a break playing for an established blues band. in spring 07 al will be working on new cd with new friends after he finds them . ALESTER WAS FORMED IN LATE 2005 BY AL AND PHIL. BOTH OF US HAVE LONG PASTS OF LIVE PERFORMANCES AS SINGERS DRUMMER AND KEYBOARD AND BASS PLAYER. AFTER WORKING TOGETHER IN STUDIO ENVIROMENT WE DECIDED THE CHEMISTRY WAS SO GOOD IT COULDN'T BE IGNORED AS A TEAM. THE SONGS HAVE A LIKE SOUND OF ARTISTS FROM OLDER CLASSIC ROCK ,NEW COUNTRY AND EVEN SOME BALLADS. THE VOCALS ARE FULL WITH CATCHY LYRICS AND MEANINGFUL MESSAGES FROM OUR SOLDIERS IN WAR TO EVERYONES NEIGHBORS PROBLEMS. THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE OF ALL AGES.
